Cemetery Decoration Regulations

Decoration Regulations for LeRoy Cemeteries:

Summer Decorations -
Permitted beginning two weeks prior to Memorial Day and must be removed by October 1.

Winter (Artificial) Decorations -
Permitted beginning November 1 and must be removed by March 1.

Spring Decorations -
Permitted beginning March 15 and must be removed by May 1.

Fresh Cut Flowers -
Permitted at any time in non-glass containers. Cut flowers and their containers will be removed when they become unsightly.

Note: All decorations left on graves after removal date will be discarded.

• No glass products or containers are permitted.

• No styrofoam decorations are permitted.

• Statues are not permitted unless sculpted into or are a part of a granite monument.

• There will be no planting of permanent trees, bushes, shrubs, etc. Only annual flowers and plants are permitted.

• Any decorations placed at any time of the year shall not exceed the width of the grave on which it is placed, shall not exceed one-half of the length of the grave and shall not obstruct any pathway.

• No pets are permitted within cemetery property.

• Recreational activities such as baseball, golf, jogging or picnicking are not permitted on cemetery grounds.

• The placement of any signs or notices or soliciting the sale of any item is not permitted.

• No loud music.

• No recreational vehicles such as ATV's, dirt bikes, snow mobiles etc. are permitted on cemetery grounds.

LeRoy Township will not be responsible for any broken or stolen items and reserves the right to remove any articles not in keeping with the beautification of the cemeteries or that impedes the maintenance of the grounds.

LeRoy Township Cemeteries are open from dawn to dusk.

The LeRoy Township Trustees reserve the right to change these regulations as deemed necessary.
